How do I deal with people thinking I'm making a wrong career choice!? Help please?

Seriously, it sucks. I'm not trying to complain but it's stressing me out. My parent's are the only ones who think if I want to be a professional wedding & events planner than I should go for it. How do I deal with everyone else who thinks it isn't a good job!? I only end up lying to everyone because of it (as in I have to say I'm not doing it anymore when I am) :( Did/does anyone else have this problem??
