How do I convince Forever 21 to hire me if I'm sixteen (yes that's the minimum age) & have no job experience?

I'm filling out the job application, but I feel silly when my employment history is blank... the application says "Please list the last three employers or attach resume". Would that mean I have to attach a resume even though I have no prior job experience? If so, what should I have in order to impress them? I'd really love working here.

On the application, if you have any volunteer experience, or any occassional jobs (pet-sitting or babysitting), put them down. Either way, you can only hope they'll call you for an interview - there's not much you can do between when you apply and when they start calling applicants. If you try to call them (especially if you do it repeatedly) and ask for the interview, you almost surely will NOT be interviewed.

If you get the interview, practice. Have prepared answers to questions like "Why do you want to work here?", "What kind of hours would you be available?" and so forth. Notice how the employees dress, and dress similarly - this is fashion, so your appearance will matter a whole lot. Ask questions that show an interest in the JOB, not the pay and benefits - things like "What opportunities are there to learn and advance?" "What does a typical day of working here include? Would I be handling stocking as well as customer service, or are those separate functions?" Above all, look people in the eye, smile, and project confidence in everything you do. If you look scared, they'll think you're going to be scared of the customers. If you act confident, they'll feel you can probably handle the job.
