How can my husband makes sure he gets the job?

My husband left his last job (as the company was struggling and they kept decreasing his salary) to take on a really great job opportunity however the job was temp with the prospect of becoming permanent. The job has just come up permanent and but there have been loads of applicants! We're really really nervous as he really wants and needs the job! (i only work part time as we have a baby). He has the interview in a weeks time. Any tips or advice other than the obvious?

I'd ask for a letter of recommendation from his current supervisor, since he's already doing the job, that might just give the interview a little kicker if the person to whom he would be reporting if he becomes permanent gives him a recommendation. |
