I will be starting work as a part time receptionist for a software security company soon. my duties will include answering phones, filing, payroll, and other light office work. what can i do to prepare for my job as i dont have experience?

In addition to Dash's suggestions, purchase some appropriate clothes if you don't already have them. Most receptionists are expected to dress rather formally, and look nice without looking flashy. Unless you're told otherwise, expect not to wear jeans and flip-flops. A couple of nice outfits that you could alternate and accessorize would be ideal. |
