With very little job experience. What has worked for you when you want to get a job? I qualify for customer service & cashier....live in CA if that helps.

Practice answering interview questions and practice your responses to the typical job interview questions and answers most employers ask. Think of actual examples you can use to describe your skills. Providing evidence of your successes is a great way to promote your candidacy. Also have a list of your own questions to ask the employer ready.

Just apply. Some bosses like freshman without any experience, others prefer someone with a bit of skills.

It is up to the HR and managers if they like your attitudes or look.

I know some engineers full of skills but companies prefer fresh graduates. There is no good logic at all but it happens.

The most important thing is confidence. Even if you know and they know you have little experience, act confident. In an interview always look at them in the eye and tell them everything you've learned and everything you're willing to learn. They wanna see potential in you. So just sweet talk them and don't be afraid to talk and brag a bit. But of course don't be cocky. :D
