How can I apply for a job as a student ?

I'm heading to college this fall. And trying to find a job this summer. I filled down some application online but nobody called me.
Do I need to come to every local mall and retail store and ask them if they are hiring? I'm very callow about this. Please help!

Looking for work can be harder and more stressful than actually working, especially during this challenging economy. But short answer, Yes, you should go to all available places and ask for an application and hand 'em in. Then you should follow up each application with a phopne call. The more applications you complete, the higher your chances of getting hired. |
