Help with getting my first job?

Do I need a resume ? I really have no clue how it works. What should I put on a resume besides name, addresses, phone? Some one told me I need to add past job experiences but this is my first job, I haven't had an past job experiences, not even baby sitting! Then what do I do after I finish the resume? Do I just go over to the place of business and hand it to them? Who do I hand it to? Most likely i'll be working at a restaurant, grocery store, or retail store. Then what happens after that. I know I get an interview, but do I have to do an interview even if i'm applying for a simple job such as bagger or cashier? Do I need to wear nice clothes? I'm only 15 what would I wear?

Sorry for so many questions but I really don't wanna screw things up

Since this is your first job there is no need for a resume. Go fill out job applications at places that hire first timers. Grocery stores, retail stores, and fast food places are a good start.

If they like what they see on your application they will schedule an interview. You should wear nice clothes, listen carefully and answer each question they ask honestly.

Be ware that many places will not accept applications for people under 16. But it never hurts to ask!

Good luck!

A resume will make you stand out in a crowd.

You will need it if you are only 15 - very hard to get hired at that age in anything at all.

Google "sample resume for fast food restaurant".

It will show you a sample.

And please go talk to your parents, I am sure they have been through this.

Many peeps get stuck when they are attempting to decide what to wear at an interview. Myself I'm from the old school, I contend that formal wear is never inappropriate; you can get some instruction from the resource in the box below, they also have a lot of stuff on job seeking.
