HELP WITH DISCIPLINARY ACTION MEETING?

I'm 17, and work for Subway in the UK. It is my first job, and I have worked there for around 5 months. For the past couple of weeks, I have been consistently late, due to faults of my own. I have not been majorly late, but 10 minutes or so every day I have worked. I hadn't received any verbal or written warnings as such, but my manager always asked my reason for being late. I was given a letter today inviting me to a Disciplinary Action meeting with my regional staff trainer/manager. I have a week to prepare for it. I don't know what to expect, and I don't know how likely I am to be dismissed. I'm just looking for guidance/advice. I have been told they will ask for a statement on why I was late? I don't know what sort of thing to say as I dont really have any reason. I really don't want this to become a serious issue, as I am very worried about attaining future jobs and the action going on my CV etc. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It's important to have a great resume, it is worth taking the time to compose something that looks superb and does the job properly. The site in the box below has plenty of data on resumes and help with extra jobs.

If the offence does not amount to gross misconduct (see your employee handbook/contract for info on things Subway class as gross misconduct). you will not be fired if you have completed your probationary period which is usually three months.

you will likely recieve a verbal warning and be asked to give reasons for your poor time keeping they will then likely monitor you and if you continue to be late you will be given a written warning and then a final written and then they will dismiss you GOOD LUCK!
