First part time job/summer job interview?

Hey everyone, so I'm going for a job interview tomorrow at the Home Hardware store in my town (yeah I know it's lame but most kids either work there or the grocery store, which isn't hiring) and I was wondering if anyone has any tips? I'm kind of nervous, I really need a job to start saving up. What should I wear? I was thinking some new jean capris and a nice top because it's really, really warm. Would casual clothing work? My town is pretty small (2,500 people) so everyone pretty much knows everyone. Also what are some dos and don'ts of job interviews I may need to know? Thank you in advance.

You've been there before. Where what the other employee wear. Don't dress up for the interview. Wear the clothes you would wear to work.

Answer the questions you are asked. No bull s*** answers. Take a deep breath, relax, let it out slow and answer the questions truthfully.

Why do you want to work here?

How much do you expect to be paid?

Is 15 hours a week enough, to little, or too much?

Are you available to help open or close? (start early or finish late)

A customers order comes to $3.69. He gives you $10. How much is his change? (you should be able to count change with out an electronic cash register telling you how much the change is. what if the power goes off, and it doesn't work? You have to count change. You don't close the store.)

Do you already have any time off planed? Parents vacation?

Do you have your working papers.

Your friends are not to hang out here, talking to you, while you are being paid to work.

Do you want the job? When can you start?

They''ll probably ask you why you want to work for them and what you can bring to the company. Mention some things about being a team player and learning more about yourself - you should be fine.

Don't wear sneakers. Smile - use some sense of humor if you can.

Dont wear jeans! what ever you do. you should probably wear dress pants and a nice shirt. stay calm and be truthful. first impressions do wonders
