First day on a new job?

On monday it is the first day of my FIRST job. I'm old enough that I could have had plenty of jobs already, but i'm a slacker. Though I am responsible and trustworthy and a hard worker when it comes down to it. What do I need to remember on the job, or act in a general presence?

Be positive and friendly, toward others that you meet and toward yourself. This should be the last time you refer to yourself as a slacker. Stick to "I am responsible and trustworthy and a hard worker."

Restrain any inclination toward sarcasm or argument that you might have. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Same goes for any slacker thinking about required tasks they describe. Don't immediately think, and by all means don't say, "Good grief, that sounds boring. I don't wanna do that."

Shower, comb your hair, dress neatly, and stand up straight. It's okay to use one drop of cologne somewhere, but do not drench yourself in Axe. Even people who aren't allergic to colognes don't want to smell you as soon as you walk into the building.

When you're introduced to someone, smile, and extend your hand for a firm handshake, and say something nice, like, "hi, I'm looking forward to working with you."
