Easiest way to become babysitter and what should I know?

Best websites to become babysitter? (without having to pay, that is). i live in the bay area if that helps.

have had some tiny experience with kids before but am otherwise completely clueless. what do i need to know?

I would do a quick course on baby siting, often you can do them free locally and spend a bit of time working with local children to get some experience/references and then put a notice up in the local shop/noticeboard and talk to friends and family and start from there

Never known anyone looking on the web for a baby sitter. It is something usually done locally. If you are "completely clueless" it seems unlikely parents would have the confidence to leave their children in your care as they would require references from previous babysitting assignments
