This polish gal has been on numerous job sites filling out on line apps..so do you think i will get any calls really soon..or how long do you think it will take for nibble or bite for a interview?

I doubt it. The economy is bad. There are HUNDREDS of people applying for one spot with job applications. The HR department does not even look through all of them. If you do not have a resume, do not have enough experience, or do not have solid business references, then assume your application won't be touched.

The best way to get a job is to walk in to a store with a help wanted sign out front. Ask the cashier for a job application. Fill out the application, and bring it back the next day wearing formal clothing. Ask the cashier to speak to the manager. Shake the manager's hand and say, " Hi, my name is (your name). I finished filling out a job application, and I am very interested in any openings you have. If there is anything I can do to improve my chances, let me know." Continue to do this at retail stores, cafes, movie theaters, etc. until you land an interview.

Employers don't usually call you. They wait for you to call them. Show them that you're really interested and determined to get the job.
