Do you think appearance is a factor in getting hired for a job ?

I'm 17 years old, but I've been told countless times from friends that I look way younger like 13. Do you think that will affect my chances of getting a job in addition to not having any job experiences? I act mature for my age, speak proper english (very little slang), dresses well and descent, and is responsible. I'm just a little worried that employers might not take me seriously just because I look younger than I really am.

It's entirely possible. Act as mature as you can and do as much as you can with your couture and make-up to seem older. I am 25 but look about 18, so I understand why you're worried. When I was job hunting a couple of years ago (steadily employed since), it took a lot of work for me to appear like the college-educated candidate I was rather than the young teen I seemed to be.

Dont create and roadblocks that may not be there, what imean is, if it hasnt happened to you yet, dont assume it wil, just go in be yourself, and if there are barriers find out what they truly are.

Perhaps a different hairstyle, and conservative clothing would add a few years. Don't overdo the makeup. Also, worrying will make you look older and you will wish it didn't, so don't fret this one more minute. Your maturity and accomplishments will speak for themselves. Take on responsibilities through volunteerism, donate blood, make good grades, participate in fundraisers, etc. Those all stand out on resumes and job applications, and show that you are responsible, motivated, active and mature.

You will never really know unless you go apply for a job, just look nice as possible
