Do you think I'll be fired?

I've been working for a little more than two months as a stocker at Target which involves me coming in at 2 in the morning. Just today I had a no call, no show due to me not waking up from my alarm. Once I woke up at 8AM I called my boss, apologized for the inconvenience, and gave my excuse. He replied simply by saying see you at work on Monday.
Where do you think I stand now as an employee? Could he mean that on Monday he's gonna fire me after work or that he really means "see you at work"?

Oops - if its the first time in 2 months of working there and it was a genuine mistake then I don't think you have anything to worry about. You will be in the dog house for a while but then he will move on to the next absentee |

ID BUY ONE MORE ALARM, HAVE ONE GO OFF ON EACH SIDE OF YOU LOL. GET TO WORK EARLY AND BUST BALLS FROM NOW ON, SHOW YOURE RESPONSIBLE. USUALLY ONE SCREW UP FLAGS AND KEEPS AN EYE ON YOU, BUT DONT THINK THEYD FIRE YOU IF YOUVE BEEN PERFORMING WELL OVERALL |

Most companies have a three strike policy regarding no call no show.This means three times and you are gone.Try getting a couple of alarms and stagger the times they go off,and place them in different parts of the room so you have to get out of bed to turn them off.you could also have someone you know call you around midnight to make sure you are awake and getting ready for work.Do whatever you need,because jobs are hard to find these days. |

Probably not. you will probably get a write up. if you've been a good employee one such incident will probably not cause you to get fired. it was a mistake. just dont let it happen again! |

Don't you hate those situations where you have no idea whats going to happen. I've had situations like that in the past for other problems but it sucks not knowing the inevitable. Who knows what's going to happen, nobody knows. You'll find out on Monday. Good luck |

Well Noah you are under probation for the first three months that doesn't mean they can't dismiss you even after that. But if this boss wishes to do so he can. Lets hope your a great worker and he has compassion for 1 mistake. meaning don't let it happen again. I would get a louder alarm clock that not only plugs into the wall outlet but has back up to go on battery mode incase the hydro goes off in the night. |
