Do psychologists work odd hours?

I know psychologists have to work nights and weekends, but do they have to constantly do that? Do they have semi-normal work hours? Basically my question is would I be able to have a family while being a psychologist? Would I be too busy? What would it be like?

Psychologists don't "have" to work at any time. if you've got a clinic, you set up your own schedule. many psychologists, however, ARE open at these hours, because they generally function more opposite of business hours, when more of their clients/patients will be available after work. if you want both, though, you can have both (a family and that career, I mean). it's been done. I promise.
