Could someone with hourly retail experience answer this?

I just finished my application for Target. I am applying to work there on top of my regular job. As such, I can only work very limited hours. Like on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, there is only a 2-hr shift that I can work. And on Mondays and Fridays, there is only a 4-hour shift that I can work. I am available virtually all day on Saturday and Sunday.

Do you think that they will hire me if I have such limited hours? Is it even possible to get a 2-hr shift? I have never worked retail before, so I don't know how shifts are assigned and how short/long they are.

If they're looking mainly for people to work weekends, they might hire you if they don't have other applicants. It would be almost unheard of for them to give you a 2 hour shift to meet your availability.

Most likely they'll hire someone whose availability isn't so limited.

Unless they are positively desperate for workers, you're probably not high on the hiring list. I worked a schedule like that once, but I had worked for a year prior before starting that schedule.
