Could someone help me pick a career in the business field?
I am in a Bcom undergrad degree program at the moment. I just really can't decide on a major, and am taking extensive time to look at every single option of what I want to do with my life. Basically here is me in a nutshell in terms of a job:
-Only want to deal with professionals, not with everyday asshole customers directly
-I don't mind working with numbers, but I couldn't do something like accounting
-I am pretty creative
-I love working with technology and computers
-I like working on group projects
-Not a huge fan of travel, considering I have a plane phobia, BUT i would be willing to do business trips like at maximum once or twice a month
-I can only speak 1 language, and don't intend to learn another
In the end, I just mainly want something that is stable, good growth, GOOD PAY, and that I could maybe relate to some of the attributes i mentioned above. If anyone has any ideas that I could look into, please let me know, as the business world is so broad, and it will take forever to go through everything.

If you posess a degree - or any extra qualification - then you'll already be in front of of the crowd when it comes to hunting for vocations. My buddy has a degree and he wasn't sure what direction to go with it, but he uncovered some good tips and tricks on the resource in the resource box below which helped him to decide that he wanted to be a lab assistant. There is plenty of help on the resource regarding extra vocations. |

What you are asking for is a bit unrealistic. No matter what your job...you will have to deal with people who may not be "professional." Think about it: IT- you'll have to service your co-workers who may not even know how to turn on a computer. HR - you will have to service your co-workers by answering questions about insurance, etc. However, I think a good choice for you would be advertising. With this you can be creative and choose to specialize in something like digital advertising and often times you will work in groups. Traveling is something you do more of the higher up you go on the career ladder; and with advertising it will depend on that as well as the company. |
