My first question to you is why on earth would you want to work for Chrysler? The company is going under, their sales are dismal, and aren't getting any better. My second question is why on earth Chrysler is interviewing people when they have hundreds of people laid off that they're still paying for doing absolutely nothing! Huh, maybe that's why they're going under. I wouldn't hold your breath either way.

Hey Chocolate: How exactly am I a hater? I'm simply asking a question, why on earth would anyone want to work for Chrysler? Why would you not want to find gainful employment with a more stable company? Is it so you can get laid off after working 1 month and collect union wages and unemployment? Because that's exactly what quite a few Chrysler employees are getting right now. They don't have to hire them back, they're still paying them! We have quite a few friends that either worked for and are retired from or currently work for Chrysler. They would LOVE to get OUT of there! They are laid off more than they work! Do you read or listen to the news? Chrysler is NOT doing well. I guess if you go to work for them you'll be just like the thousands of others that lose their jobs when Chrysler goes out of business, and since you call me a hater, i'll just smile to myself and say "i told you so" when that happens to you.

Hi, 1st off dont listen to the hater because a job is a job and we all need 1. 2nd, chrysler is starting ppl off at a lower wage and not calling the ppl laid off back because they was making so much more and expect that. Cheaper this way. I also had my phone interview on the 15th and waiting to get a call to go and take my physical and all. I dont know exactly the hiring process and how long it takes but I was wondering the same thing. I have a family member that has inside chrysler information and I do believe that it will be around july 19. If I here anything else I can ket you know and please do the same. Michigans economy needs this and chrysler still is and will always be a really great company to work for. GoodLuck.

And please tell me, did they call you for the drug test and physical or did they email you? Just curious.

I have not received the email for the physical and drug test yet. I am expecting it to be very soon and expecting that the 19th of july will be the start day. I figured after the email for the interview and all that it would al be corresponded through emails which is fine with me. I did hear that alot of the work is mostly assembly and not lifting too much or too heavy of items. I think you are safe with that concern. I heard the process to get in is long but feel its worth it. I put in my app on the 1st and had a phone interview on the 16th and so did another person. They currently are not accepting anymore apps.
