Can you be a jcpenney/sears photographer in high school?

I would like to apply at either Jcpenney or Sears since there are positions part-time, but would it be too time-consuming for high school AP classes I'll be taking next year? I'm taking summer school to get ahead this summer, I'm not sure they would be happy if I could only work after school and take a week to go to an FFA convention. What do you guys think? Thanks.

Photography? I don't you can be a photographer without a license. I do know that Jcpenneys/Sears only hire kids that are under 18 to either be a cashier or retail stocker. If your going to be 18 anytime soon ,

I think you can. Ap classes can be time-consuming but they can be reasonable about your scheduling. I don't think they would mind after school, alot of employers have positions from 4-9 especially for high school students.

I would go for JCPenney! Not Sears! JCPenney portraits are more popular and the company is more generous to employees and pay better than Sears! And you do have to be experienced to be in portraits, especially JCPenney, they take it more seriously. I would apply if I were you as a part time associate and then you can always work your way to the portraits studio.

And to whomever said that JCPenney hired people under 18 to be cashiers, that's not true. Most of JCPenney's associates are 35+ years old. In fact, in my store 25 associates have been with the company for 20+ years. And I am the only one in the store working as a minor under the age of 18.

Sears - yes does hire more underage people. Because they pay less and younger people will work for less than an older person would.
