Can i ask for days off in a part time job?

Im planning a trip for Summer 2011. I want to start working soon, and can i ask for 3 or 4 days off in that week im planning on going. I don't care if i don't get paid. Im just asking if they will let me have it off since it wouldn't be a year of employment yet?

Of course you can ask. It never hurts to ask. Besides part time workers need holidays too. Plus part time workers have rights to holiday pay, ok it's obviously not as much as full time workers. |

Ummm, asking a year in advance really isn't necessary. A month or so is fine. |
