Can i apply for unemployment benefits?

Here is the deal. i was on unemployment at the end of 07 into 08, i found a job but it was only part-time so i was still collecting on an extension. i was terminated from the pt job because of attendance ( i was very ill and missed time). so i found another job but it was on-call and and i was still on the extension and then got another extension for less. then a week ago they cut me off because i was terminated from the last job. i never filed for unemployment from the job i was terminated from i was on my ext. so now i can collect from my seasonal job because they sent me a letter saying i could. now can i collect or will i be denied or does that even matter what happened at my pt job. also they want to recoup payments will they deny or deduct from my new claim. i live in chicago, illinois so if anyone can help it would be helpful.
