Can an American Licensed Massage Therapist work in Japan?

I will be getting my Massage Therapy license(1000+ hrs) in a few months and I'm kind of just exploring options out of curiosity.

I can't seem to find anything on license transfer to Japan. I've looked into immigration policies and into the work visas, but I'm not sure if my license would transfer over and be legal there.

In Japan they require 3 years of eduation before you can be licensed, but several websites state that as long as I have a license and a degree (which i would consider going for in this field) then I'll be fine... But will they get picky with the details of the license?

I hope someone can answer this.

If you posess a degree - or any extra qualification - then you'll already be in advace of of the crowd when it comes to searching for professions. My pal has a degree and he wasn't certain what direction to go with it, but he found some good tips on the resource in the resource box below which aided him to settle that he wanted to be a lab assistant. There is a lot of help on the resource regarding extra professions.
