Can I be fired for leaving a job out in resume?

I had a job for less than 6 months which I was let go for not being a good fit 10 years ago. I left this job out of my resume. After I was let go, I had a couple of jobs, one for 2 years and the other for 4 years.

So in my present job, my employer did not know I was let go from a job ten years ago. Now, they are about to find out (someone who knows about the let go is coming on board) that I left the job out in the resume, will they fire me for leaving the job out in the resume?

Probably not. A resume is intended to put forth your most important qualifications - so as long as everything on yours was more relevant than the job you left out you should be fine. However, if you filled out some sort of application or anything where you were instructed to account for all gaps in your employment history and neglected to mention this, you could have a problem.

Does this person even remember the circumstances under which you left the previous employer? This all seems pretty irrelevant at this point, particularly if you've been at your current position for more than a few months. You know the culture of your current employer better than we do, so you can decide what (if any) your next steps need to be. But if the only omission was on your resume and you didn't lie about anything else to cover it up, you should be fine.
