The world of work is new for you I guess!

Employers can take anything from hours to months to get back to an applicant regarding an interview- it's dependent on their urgency in filling the post, the availablility of interviewers in the company, decisions on funding for the post, changes within the company structure, interviewing internal applicants first, appointing someone then it doesn't work out and they come back to you later etc, etc.

Why worry? The important things here are- do you really want the job? From your research into the company, do they look sound and a good career choice? Are you confident you can do the job, and have you started to prepare effectively for this opportunity to present yourself? Do the wages, conditions, duties, hours, location etc suit you?

If you're satisfied on all these questions, then feel pretty darn good about their response!!

This is a bad omen of things to come. Run away!

Theres no real contact time...just depends on the person, some take awhile just to look at the apps. some get right on it, it also depends on the company, they might need someone right away

This is a very good sign, it means they are interested in you. Good luck at the interview

Any call for an interview is a good sign, bad signs are if they phone you asking are you available now even before you had the interview. I've had job interviews within 2 days of posting the application. Its a good sign.
