Anyone know a career that takes only a certification to get?

I live in TX and I am a military spouse. I was thinking of maybe taking some online classes that would lead to some type of job where only a certification is required. I don't want something that will take forever to get a certificate. I need a career that will transfer from state to state.

I actually looked on the real estate school web site this morning but that takes over 200 class hours. If I was going to do that many hours then I might as well look into something I really would like to do like criminal justice. Thing is I really don't want to spend a lot of time to get a degree because I only have about a year that I can get unemployment and I think a certification will help me get a better job.

Please give me a few ideals and certification options. Remember online and not a lot of time.

HAZMAT 1st observer, its only a couple weeks long(if that) and you can work for fire depts, hospitals, airports, ect. and since you are a military spouse they might actually offer this class on post.I am in the Army and where I am stationed I know they offer this class.check into it if you can, this little certificate raises a paycheck about 14-16 dollars in civillian jobs.

I think you would suit jobs that require licensed machine operators, for which is worth a good income. Look into the following licenses: Forklift license, excavator, bobcat, helicopter.... all of these suggestions allow for long term rewarding and prosperous careers.

Did you know you can self-teach yourself most things.

Take for example real estate.

There are plenty of books at the library that will teach you in detail everything you need to know.

Look in the education section near the books for ACT college entrace exams.

There are books on passing that real estate exam - no need for a course online.

Don't get scammed by online sites - be careful.

I would go to a community college in town and see if they have courses in secretarial or bookeeping.

The government is handing out so much money - you would will probably qualify to go to an accredited college for free.

ORT (Operating Room Technician) or CST ( Certified Scrub Technician).

ORT's or CST's work with RN,s ( Registered Nurses ) in the surgical setting handing instruments to the surgeons during operations.

There is of course lab work as well as classroom instruction but courses are available at community colleges I believe.
