Am i giving up or moving on ? Any feedback would be appreciated?
I have a job now that I have held for a 2 years. I am not miserable, but financially I am strained. There have been quite bit of issues with high turnover and poor management. To shorten it, most places upper management carry the bulk of responsibilty and everyone else under them are given instructions to be carried out.
Well here the associate that carry the bulk of responsibilty and not given clear instructions by management. I have been able to weather the storm and carve out a bit of seniority with a great shift and vacation. I have several (too put it lightly) lose their jobs for something that wasn't But i feel like I am dodging bullets. I would LOVE to leave because leaving would be easier and I would be able to rest in knowing that I have a solid stable position. Or should I stay because clearly I am suppose to learn something and not give in so easily.
I have been told to stay and let them fire me.. ( if they are going to do that) but NOT to leave.
Some ppl have said to find another job and leave. Though I would love to do it that a small part of me feels as if I am giving up..

You're in a tough position: you hate the job, but need the money it provides. Deep down you know you want to quit it, but don't do it until you have something else lines up. In this economy, it may be hard to find another job, but it's worth a try, isn't it? Bottom line, my 2 cents: stay in your job while actively searching for a better one. |

How is being in a dodgy position 'teaching' you anything? You know what you want - a stable position. So, go for that. Look for something better while keeping your head low at this job. |
