Good luck. Most 20-25 year olds who haven't graduated college are unemployed.

Unemployment is at an all time high. So finding a job won't be easy. Ask your friends, or see if any of your relatives have friends who are management at a business.

Otherwise try going online and applying at places like Petsmart, WalMart etc.

The '.5' part of your age doesn't matter.

You can work anywhere that has unskilled labor: Walmart, McDonalds, Target, Burger King, etc.

I worked from the age of 13 as a waitress.

Cafes will always be looking for casual staff.

Write/ring around to lots of companies asking if they would have a suitable position....make sure you do a bit of research firt of what makes a good confident candidate.

I'm 15 and a half too!! A lot of my friends got a job at Publix, but if you don't live in a state that has a publix, do you have mejers? Uhh places like that! :)

Be an entrepreneur! Make flyers advertising your services, like babysitting, lawn mowing (or other gardening work like pulling weeds), dog walking, washing windows/cars/dogs/floors/laundry, and pass them around to your neighbors. Include a page of references, like a teacher, pastor, youth counselor, or family friend (be sure to ask your references before including them), with their contact information so that people can make sure you're trustworthy. Keep your rates reasonable and specify them on your flyer (for example, "Babysitting -- $5 per hour, per child"). Importantly, be enthusiastic when talking to any potential clients -- remember, you're selling yourself! Finally, follow up after your initial contact ("I'm just stopping by to follow up on the flyer I left last week and to see if you have considered how I may be of assistance to you this summer. I would be happy to wash your car for the discounted price of $___ to show you how I can help make your life easier!"). Hopefully you will gain a clientele of steady business!

Just an idea...
