2nd Interview - Personal Presentation - Help!!?

I am attending a 2nd interview for a job which would be a real step up from Management into a Director Role. I know this may sound stupid but they have asked me to prepare a presentation about my career, achievements and aspirations. I have a few ideas with regards to what I would do word wise, but what can i do to add some depth and clarity to this?

How would you deliver a presentation on yourself if you were being interviewed for a job....

I am struggling for ideas....

Any ideas/suggestions would be great!

Thanks :-D

I don't think it's stupid. I think they basically want to audition you for the kind of presentations you will be making to customers or clients. Do you and your materials look professional?

I would plan to use PowerPoint with graphs and charts showing improvements you have implemented in previous jobs--customer retention, sales volume, whatever. Include testimonials from coworkers and customers. (You can excerpt them from LinkedIn recommendations, for one.)

Have polished-looking handouts, too, in attractive folders.

Try running your presentation past a relative or friend for feedback.

Good luck.

List your career achievements to date. Tell the panel what and how you've succeeded with previous employment.

It will be hard, but try not to use the word "I". Rather, say something like ........ "during my employment with XYZ Company - profits rose by 175% in 3 months. Get my drift?

A 2nd Interview means that the new Company is interested in you, but they need convincing. Give them reasons why they should select you and not the next guy.

Wear your best suit and a tie that is more conservative than modern - unless it's a Hip Hop Radio Station.

Make sure your shoes are clean.

Speak with confidence and authority - try always to avoid saying "ummmmm" or "you know".

I'm almost 60 years old and I've only ever had 1 second interview for a job. All the rest - I was offered the job on the spot.

If all else fails - you can always bamboozle them with your brilliance or baffle them with your bullsh*

Figure out what the Panel wants to hear ............ and tell them exactly that.

Good luck
