Well..there isn't really anything else you can do. keep trying, keep applying. As I'm sure you know the job market sucks right now. I'm in the same boat as you I'm 17 but have 6 felonies on my record (making it harder for me to get a job) I have gotten interviews though, and for some stupid reason I have said no thank you. But if I can get an interview, I'm sure you can as well.

Oh man, I just moved to Albany, OR and I'm 20. I've been applying to places for three weeks and still nothing. As for being under 18, places that usually hire 16 year olds are fast food joints, restaurants (host @ Red Robin for example), or grocery stores. You could always do stuff online. Go to thrift stores and buy cheap books and resell them online...of course you'd want to do that with the proper research of books.You can score some cheap stuff at yard sales as well and resell it on sites like craigslist, but since you're 16 I would keep it safe and have you do it with a parent and have your parents take care of stuff like that. Man....I feel you...I don't know what to do either....

A 16 year old can work online but as per rule below 18 can not get any job, so if you want to earn money then you can do it online. That sucks....I would hate to be a teenager these days in this economy.....I would say get a paper route but even the newspaper inustry has taken a down turn.....I dont know what to tell you buddy....I'm 10 years older than you and when I was your age I used to quit jobs left and right.
