Me and my bro are sending our resumes, I sent like 5 and 2 to best buy and nothing! I even had experience for one of the jobs and no phone call for an interview.

is it because I have a mexican last name? thats what i think is up because im part mexican!!!!!!!

As a Manager of Walgreens I'm not going to hire someone who sends in an online application (although you can turn one in.) and then just expects to get hired. You want the job, not them. You need to call up to everywhere you turned in an application and "verify" they got it. If they say yes, ask if they are hiring. If they say no, say: "Okay, well let me know if you are." if they say yes say: "Okay, and when are interviews?" It lets us know you're interested in a job.

No, It has nothing to do with your last name. For ever one job opening companies are getting a couple hundred applicants. Large companies are cutting employees left ad right.

I'd send out 20 resumes to Various companies. Always be hopeful and it doesn't hurt calling the hiring manager and telling them that you sent your resume and have a genuine interest in the job. It shows initiative. Be very polite and 'Always Always' send a cover letter! Resumes get skimmed but cover letters may get read.
