I was wondering what kind of a job it is, what they do, how they do it, is it easy/tough, things like that. One thing that I would really like to know is that if it's sales through phones or door-to-door.

A 100% commission job means in order to be paid, you need to sell. You don't make an hourly wage when it's 100% commission. Your pay and means of living rely on you selling products and you get a portion of those profits. If you sell well, you make good money, but if you have a dry time, it will be hard for you.

I had a buddy that worked for Sears and worked a 100% commission. He said if you sold a lot of stuff, you made good money. However, if you didn't sell anything times would be rough.

If I were you, steer clear of a job like if you can't sell anything. If you're not good at hustling or being persuasive, it will be a tough job for you. Plus, those kind of jobs are highly competitive as other co-workers will try to undermind you.

For in store jobs at sears the only 100% commission job is appliance sales. This can be a very rewarding job when it comes to pay, but at the same time a very stressful one. The commission rates are generally from 1 - 4 %. That means on a top dollar kitchen, range, micro hood, and dishwasher you can do a five thousand dollar sale, making you around 250 bucks. it sounds great, but it all depends on how the sales are for the day. Another factor, is their protection agreements they sell. To stay in sales, 9% of your total sales must be in protection agreements (insurance on merchandise). But, the pay out on protection agreements is ten percent. That means if you sell an agreement for 300, you make at least thirty. The only problems is that if you're not selling enough to equal minimum wage, they pay you the difference. When that happens, you eventually have to pay them back which really blows. Electronics sales however is a lot better, you make 6 dollars an hour plus commission. I know when I worked there I made anywhere from 13-17 dollars an hour in a good season and 9 in a bad season. So it can be a good job, but at the same time a very unstable one. My biggest check while working part time was 1,000 dollars during the x-mas season.
