What kind of alcoholic drink will make me look mature and professional?

First, I'm 23 so it is legal. I'm going on my first business trip and my boss told me a story of one professional who was given a hard time for drink Captain Morgan at a cocktail reception. I will be attending a similar function. I like rum drinks and beer (which is not professional). Any ideas, from what I understand there is a lot of drinking involved in these trips!?

Beer is usually accepted (especially exotic ones), other than that i would say scotch - on the rocks. Something expensive and not fruity. |
