I plan on majoring in buisness and starting my own in four years. Is this a smart decision with the way the economy is today. Is it expected to improve within the next few years.

Possibly not. There are signs that the current problems may continue. The most certain need seems to be for future math and science majors.

I believe there will always be a need for business and their managers. As far as starting one in four years it might be a little rough if the economy doesn't pick up at all. (But if you are really dedicated you will find a way to make it happen and survive). Believe in yourself!
