Does anyone have experience of becoming a marketing consultant?

I Hav e a lot of academic and practical training in Marketing. This includes a Business Degree, A Chartered institute of Marketing Professional Postgraduate Qualification and a Masters Degree in Marketing Management. Added to this is around 5 years of working in various marketing roles and capacities. This has ranged from online marketing, to product management to PR to marketing Comms and Marketing Strategy.
I would like to become an independent consultant as I wish to work for myself, it would be nice to know what experiences other people had before taking the plunge and if they had any recommendations as to whether this is something worth doing with my level of experience?

Hi!! Its good to work for yourself. Instead of becoming an independent consultant, why don't you think of starting your own marketing consultancy company where you can provide people with various marketing, advertising and branding solutions. It has good market. |
