Do Avon offer jobs to anybody who is not qualified to drive?

Category: Marketing & Sales

I would like to work for Avon, but I think it would be impossible for me to be a representative as I don't drive. Do they provide jobs in telesales or something that does not involve a driver's license?

Thank you.

Avon is not a job - it is a business opportunity to be an independent rep and market their products. Avon will basically sign anyone who has a pulse up to be a rep.

Since it is a business opportunity you are self-employed and your own boss. Avon does not pay any wages. No matter how many hours you work you only earn income if you make sales. No sales = no income.

You don't need to be able to drive, but you need to be at least 18 years old. You can try to earn online or by walking around your area, but it can be difficult to earn much because there are so many Avon reps in most areas that you will be competing against for customers and sales.

There are numerous other companies out there that use independent reps/distributors/consultants to market their products. You might want to look around at some others and compare the start up costs, ongoing costs (catalogs, website), sales/purchase quotas, marketing methods, commission rate/profit margin and the number of reps in your area that you would be competing against. You may find other opportunities that will be more profitable to do online, over the phone or in your local area without driving a car.

Unless you have someone who will make deliveries for you, you cannot do this.

If you can walk and live close to businesses and others, you don't need to drive. If you become an Independent Avon rep, you aren't an employee of Avon anyway.

You can try to sign up online at www.startavon.com using the reference code JEBY. It will cost $20 and Avon will send you the start up kit that includes 20 Avon books.
