Commission only fundraiser sales?

Category: Marketing & Sales

I'm thinking of entering into a position doing school fundraiser sales. The program is very well known and has the branding needed to allow me to be successful. My concern is that since I have not done this type of work before. My thoughts are that I will gain more and more confidence with each sale, and this could be a profitable endeavor. My family is not behind the idea simply b/c it is commission. I would not, however, depend solely upon this income. Any advise out there?

I do have a passion for helping schools get the money they so badly need, as well as supporting the community. The program, as I can see, has proven they can do both. They are simply implementing a new fund raising method, and looking for sales reps. Anyone experienced in sales/fundraiser reps, I would appreciate a helpful response.

Almost all of these are SCAMS, they make money for the company not the school or community organization, they also pay almost nothing to those who see it as a job (like you).....

many of these schemes pay less then 10% of the funds raised to the school, non-profit etcetera that they are supposedly raising funds for......... these SCAMS exist in numerous forms from candy bars with coupons on them to coupon books that are sold by students...........

be very careful about who you work for/with, and how you decide to raise funds for your schools....
