Can a 17 year old be a manger?

So I live in NY and I been working with a big retail store for, four months now and two months ago my manger said he wants to make me manger but he wants to wait till I finish high school (yesterday was the last day of school!!) But today he gave me the keys to the store and the safe and everything but he left and he got a phone call that someone complained that a 17 year old was the manger so my question is. Is there a law or something that says a 17 year old cant be a manger?? Plz help

For a smaller store should be ok. For a big retail store, I would wait. There are a lot of responsibilities and stress. So it is not just your capability. |

Nope. You will be just fine. If your manager trusts you, then no problem. People will always find something to complain about. |
