Would you go back a previous employer who are now hiring?

My company are hiring people; this was my first job there. It is an inbound call centre job, 8- 8 across 7 days. When I left the company, I never said goodbye to the people I know, because there wasnt any time and it felt like I was fired when I left, which was a Saturday. I knew, I would be leaving because I found all the team managers and service manager disrespectful. Especially after the training session I did with them and being told by my then secondment manager that my service manger told him that I was participating too much. I mean if I hadnt then the session would be boring and hard work for the trainers. Basically it left a very bitter after take and I told my secondment manger I would never return to the phone but I was forced to in another area and almost got fired because I had a lot of compliant issues and didnt get signed off. So, instead of getting fired, I fired myself so left. I tried to email my friend who still works there to see whether I should call the service manager to see if they would hire me again but she never did reply. I remember she was the first person I told that I left, she asked why I left, I just said it was a combination of things. Help! I feel so torn and dread going back but after all a job a job.

Just why on earth would you be considering going back there?

From what you seem to be saying you did not like working there and they weren't to keen on you either.

Why do you think anything would be different now? and also, you have already effectively walked out once, why would an employer want to take that risk again?

A job is a job, and if you get this one back, you can continue to look for better things while collecting a pay check. But regarding the situation you described, it doesn't seem a sure thing that they will take you back on. But if you don't try, it's an opportunity lost, so go for it.
