Why did i get denied for unemployment benefits?

I am in the national guard and just returned from a 13 month deployment to Iraq I filed for unemployment. I recieved a letter saying i was not eligible for unemployment benefits because of lack of income. I understand that they compute your benefits by quarterly income but they computed from Jan-Apr of 2009 I just got honorably discharged from active duty on may 25 2010 and filed on the 26 was that right of them to deny benefits or should they have used a different quarter for computing wages?

Usually its the 5th quarter in the lookback, so they would be looking at Jan-March 31 2009 to determine income. You may be ineligible now, but after July 1 you SHOULD be able to draw... |
