Where would I go to apply for a position as a garbage man in CT?

I've been trying to get a position in waste management as a garbage man for years but not sure where to apply. I am in connecticut- Do the town halls have these postings if not where else would I go to apply?

Many towns now hire outside companies to do their trash and recycling work. Check to see what kind of trash trucks you see in the town you're interested in working for. Does it say, for example, BFI? Or WM (Waste Management)? If so, then you'd need to contact that company. If the trucks say, for example, City of Hartford DPW, then you'd contact the city directly. |

Who collects the trash? If the city, then apply to the city. If a commercial company like Waste Management, apply to them. |
