The supervisor from hell, what can I do?

I've been at this job for 2-mos, gave up my unemployment for it, it pays so much more less then what I'm use to getting but it's job, close to home and benefits, I can tell you from my first day, the sup is horrible to me, she doesn't give directions well, she'll give you 1-step and leave out steps 2-9, she'll say one thing, then say the opposite later like, the phone list, she asked that I add the 2 new hires which I did, then I got an ugent email from her with the home office stating that only her and them can update the phone list, I mentioned that she told me to do this, she said she didn't, she's having me order the supplies now, today I mentioned that we are out of sugar, she said yesterday that she was going to get it and not to order from office depot, when I was leaving I just wanted to check if I should add it to the order for next week, she said why are we out, I've been doing this for a long time, I have an exp acct., I know what I'm doing, I've got it hidden, how am I suppose to know what she gets from different stores for the cheapest price vs. office depot, I'm not a mind reader, this happens with everything now, she always says one thing, then says the opposite later, she's got me running in circles, she comes into the office with so much attitude, it's always a no win situation. I would of never given my unemployment up for this, I know she hates me, her boss is always in meetings, back to back meetings everyday, the hm office is in AZ, I think it's time to complain to her boss about her but somehow, I don't really feel it will go well, she really realize on this women, I can't sit down and speak with the sup., she'll say all the right things, then go back to the same thing again, I've already tried once. What can I do, I want to email her boss from my personal email, I want to ask her to have this women get help, she has this whole bipolar personality going, it's affecting my health now, I wake up each monring with migraines at 5am, panic attacks, I just can't do this, I asked her a ? about the toner in the copier, she screamed I already told you that, go away, she did but also told me 20 other things, she's good at her job but not at sup. What can I do, I feel that it will never be resolved, she wins no matter what.

This is why our mobile phones now have audio recording facilities on it. Use it. - for your own reference only. Do NOT re-play the recordings or you may be acting illegally - okay maybe your friends or parents will not dob you in, but your employer will probably fire you if he or she hears the recordings.

Buy yourself a steno notebook and let her see you write down everything she says. EVERY TIME SHE TELLS YOU 20 THINGS TO DO AT ONCE - WRITE IT DOWN IN FRONT OF HER.

BEFORE you complain to anyone you will need substainial evidence - this means

*times

*dates

*details of how said what to whom - keep the personalities out of it, focus on doing the job correctly

*witnesses - DO NOT assume that because someone heard her or saw her be rude to you that they will be on your side - they may have an established relationship with her. Or know something that you do not know as to how she keeps her job.

DO NOT

*make any personal comments about her to other staff or to the boss should you complain

*with great caution - which means asking very few questions of very few people discretely find out;

(1) how long has she been there?

(2) what her business background is?

(3) has anyone else either before you, or currently on staff, had problems with her.

She's a loser, to boot, and a real idiot. Beleive it. You can call Dept. of Labor if you cant get your boss, or someone who can do something about it.

Let me put it you. Do you think you got hired to put her in her place, and lash out and maybe do something that has not ever been done in that office. Like BLOW UP ! Are you walking the plank.

Be calm, get some asignments, and make sure someones KNOWS you are busy at something you are SUPPOSED to be doing. I dont think running for sugar is even on the office "things to do list " I bet it has been said, "Bring your own sugar, I am not paying for it ", Who's paying for the sugar ? Don't rop the bll, and DONT get yourself in trouble and someing INTENTIONALLY stupid !

You can tell somebody to get her off your back
