Restraint Constraint Applicable?

Hello,
I have the following restraint constraint in my contract: "You shall not, in any Capacity, during the Period of Restraint and within the UK
engage or be interested or concerned in any business which is or is about to be in
competition with any of the businesses of the Company being carried on as at the Termination Date and in which you were directly
concerned in or connected with at any time during the Relevant Period except by
holding or being interested in not more than five per cent of the total issued share
capital in any company whose shares are quoted or dealt in on a recognised stock
exchange."
Is it applicable or do I have the right to become employee of a competitor of my company within the 6 month period after my termination date which is the restraint period as defined per my contract?
