Is there a law about how often companies have to give raises to their employee's?

I know someone who hasn't had a raise in over two years. Is that legal?

Yes it is perfectly legal. I know personally of 2 mega insurance companies that they rarely gave raises, even to people working 3 to 5 years. The only time raises are guaranteed if you work for a union and that is it. But that is no guarantee, since if the company does not make money, then the 1st thing they do is lay off or cut raises to survive. |
