This isnt a driving job and i cant get hired because i have one red light ticket and one speeding ticket. The speeding one is 3 years ago and the red light was last year (one of those cameras!) and i cant get hired...i dont htink it has anything to do with job performance.

What makes you think your driving record has anything to do with it?

nothing you have written here even suggest your record was even known of by a potential employer....

All other things being equal with the prospective "new hire," moving violations show an employee may have a lack of attention to detail. This may make the employer select the person with a clean driving record. Maybe your state has an avenue to remove these violations, check with your local DMV & good luck!

You don't say how you are 100% sure that the reason you are not getting hired is due to tickets. Are possible employers disclosing this information to you, or are you assuming this is the reason?

If you haven't paid those tickets and they are outstanding, of course you are not going to get hired. I assume you didn't pay them because you said you "have" two tickets. You don't say you paid them and I fail to see how those tickets would show up if they were properly taken care of. Usually tickets only stay a matter of public record if they are outstanding.

What you fail to realize is that failure to take care of your responsibilities in your personal life gives employers a window to what level of quality you will take care of their customers or perform your job.

Again, I am assuming you did not pay your tickets, but if you did...that just seems really odd that it would even be an issue.

Some employers may take it into account, because they feel that you're not responsible when it comes to driving. They may think that this would be the case in a work situation as well. Maybe if you can provide evidence that these are incidents that occurred in the past and won't happen again, the employers will overlook the tickets. Possibly show that you paid the tickets promptly, went to traffic school, etc.

It wouldn't be illegal to not hire you because of the tickets.

But how do you know that's why you didn't get hired, anyway?
