Hi,

Contact the state labor board to see if it's required. If you're working for a company & need to be bonded then it would be necessary. If you work at a desk job there's no reason to have your fingerprint in their file.

It would depend on the laws as they pertain to your specific industry, and job, and the policies of the company itself.
