I have the opportunity to interview for a job in another department within the company where I work. I've heard it is good to research the job, but the job itself was posted on our internal website. I have contacted the hiring manager to ask what the job entails because we have to write out a summary of why we are applying for the position. Well, the manager has yet to contact me and interviews are next week and I have to turn in the summary by tomorrow. Other than the fact that it is a promotion, I don't know anything about the job. Question. What would you write in the summary. "Why are you applying for this job?"

Well. Congrats on your possible promotional opportunity. I can see why you would want to apply for the position being it would offer more money. If you can, try and research more about the position. Make sure you describe what you can offer the employer with your skill and abilities and not only what's in it for you so to speak, such as benefits, etc. Put your best foot forward. Good luck! |
