Failing a drug test for employment entry?

If an employer knew an employee that was about to be hired failed the drug test would they wait over 4 days to contact the applicant to tell them they are not hired? Or would they call the applicant a day after they find out the results?

In many cases they might just not contact them at all. And even if they do, if they're busy it wouldn't be on the top of their todo list. |
