Do you need to give 2 weeks notice if your Self Employed?
Ok, so my hubby is planning leaving his job as a joiner on a construction site to work on another site, he is a self employed joiner and is contracted through companies to put up kit houses, does he need to give full 2 weeks notice if he is self employed?

It should say in his contract on how much notice he needs to provide in order to terminate the contract. |

It depends on what the contract he has with the company says. |

He is a contractor. That means there is a contract and he needs to abide by the terms of that contract or risk getting sued. |

2 weeks' notice is never required. It's a courtesy, like the 15% tip. You don't have to leave any tip and you don't have to give any notice. |

Usually his contract would specify those terms. Without any written terms indicating notice, it would be more of a courtesy to offer notice. |
