Do I still have time to have a decent career as a lawyer?
I was going to school for culinary but I am now changing my degree at 23 and I am Getting my Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Law, Crime, and Society. I plan to go to law school after. I figure by the time I am done with law school I will be around 30-31. Will I still have time to have a good career as a lawyer?

If you posess a degree - or any extra qualification - then you'll already be in advace of of the crowd when it comes to looking for careers. My friend has a degree and he wasn't sure what direction to go with it, but he unearthed some great instruction on the resource in the resource box below which helped him to decide that he wanted to be a lab assistant. There is lots of assistance on the resource regarding extra careers. |

Absolutely. You will have developed some maturity, had more real life experience, and should have no problem. |

Yes, indeed. Some of the best attorneys that I have worked with were ones w/ a touch more maturity and perspectiven fact, some say that the MBA model should be applied to JD arena, wherein a few years of working experience will be required prior to submission of an application to attend law school. In short, if you want to be a lawyer...go full steam ahead. Helpful articles below. |

Sure, just do well in school. Law is long, hard, and sometimes boring..Make sure you stay focused on your goals and get as much experience as you can in the field you want to get into. It's not too late! Just don't wait. |

Yes, you'll have plenty of years to work. |

By no means am I any qualified counselor, but it has been proven those with philosophy political science majors and minors tend to do the best on LSAT. Now if you're minoring in Law just for law-school it won't be much of a help, especially your LSAT which is practically 50% of your admission. |

I know someone that was a Firefighter and was injured on the job, started college in his 30's and graduated law school/admitted to the bar at 39. He is currently a very well respected Circuit Court Judge about to retire. |
