Can an employer bring up anything you do, say or post on the internet that is not about your employer, any employee or the company you work for?

Depends on where you are and what you are doing.........

in the US in a few states there are "protected activities" such as political and/or religious affiliations that can NOT be held against an employee (legally)

in general an employer can hold you accountable for anything you do or say at work or away from it.......

If what you say pertains to their business or reputation, yes they can. People may be fired over derogatory or inflammatory statements.

Yes they can and DO! What you do outside of work - which includes say and publish can and DOES count against you - many companies have a requirement; spoken or unspoken that your behaviour at all times much be beyond reproach.
